A clinical bowling performance saw the OJ Wanderers limited to 106 all out as the Badgers cruised to their second straight win of the season.

Due to some late arrivals in the OJ camp the toss was dispensed with and by mutual agreement the Badgers headed out to field first.

"Bam Bam" Mackrell and "Endeavour" Morse used the new ball and overcast conditions to great effect, taking out the OJs top three batsmen, and restricting them to a mere 12 runs off the bat from their combined opening spells. Morse in particular was finding the sort of movement in the air that professional bowlers dream about, and showed some impressive control, returning extraordinary figures of 5 overs, 4 maidens, 2 runs, and 2 wickets. This early pressure set the tone for the innings and allowed the rest of the bowling attack to turn the screws and force errors from the batsmen. Lee took his first wicket for the club, with a catch pouched in the covers by debutant Gillson. Barker managed to bowl one victim between his legs, a textbook dismissal by Gillson removed the bail from the top of off stump, wicket-machine Thorpe chipped in with two of his own and a classy cameo appearance from Shone, saw the OJs bundled out with 7 overs to spare.

The conditions overhead which had been threatening rain all morning now turned to bright sunshine, and the Badger openers walked out to near ideal batting conditions. The only realistic way the OJs could defend their total was to take ten wickets of their own. However, a superb 59 run opening partnership between Cloke and Jinks effectively sealed the game for the Badgers. A middle order wobble gave the OJs a look in, but some sensible batting from "Bam Bam" and "Bret" closed the game out without too much drama.

Two wins from two. Bring on the Weasels.
